This quality has developed for great while. That is why pit bull terriers are very clever dogs with self control. They are very difficult to put out of temper and make spring on a person.
Pit bull terrier is hard to irritate and other dogs are almost unable to disturb its equanimity. Casually meeting own congeners, pit bull will neither answer their barking, nor ask for trouble. It will only experience slight inner tension, but the appearance will be indicating equal
indifference.
As a result of a selection, also the other beneficial qualities have been produced and assigned. They are the following: courage, firmness, fearlessness, resistance to collapse. This is one of the few breeds in whom the ability to fight throughout many hours is preserved.
 American Pit Bull terrier is a very brave dog, in what connection the valour should not be confused with aggressiveness. On the contrary, true courage consists in dispassionate capability to evaluate dangerous situation in the proper way and react to it adequately.
The dog is able to take decisions by its own, regardless of a person. It can distinguish between real threat and presumptive one, does not require special education in order to guard its master.
Some guess, that the sequel of endurance is a degeneration of nervous system in consequence of which the dog cannot feel pain. However, the observations say that pit bull terriers are very sensible. Their tolerance to pain is due to the ability to overcome pain when fighting.
In fact, its stubbornness makes difficulties during education, though this by no means signifies that the dog is not amenable to it. Simultaneously with aggressiveness towards similar breed, the ring enabled a development of the animal which was too friendly to a person.
The dogs of this breed (provided they are educated properly) never bite their masters even when hurt by them (e.g. during medical maintenance), but this does not concern the other breeds.
However, notwithstanding that these dog do not constitute any danger to a person, there should be a lot of time to spare to their education.
