Vitamins are very essential for growing dog body. Retinol is required for hair shine, good eyesight and growth. It must be included in dietary during gestation period and nursing time. Vitamin B complex exercises a salutary influence over dog appearance, appetite, nervous system. Ascorbic acid reduces aptitude to bacillosis and enables fast wound healing. Antistiffness factor exercises a salutary influence over muscle tone and dental health, but in case of calcium and phosphorus deficiency its effectiveness greatly diminishes. Tocopherol is required for good functions of the muscles and internals, especially heart and reproductive system. As a rule menadiol is synthesized in the body. Delayed healing of abrasions, maims and never-ceasing hemorrhages account for the lack of menadiol. Green meat, fresh vegetables and fruit, roots (carrot and others) contain a lot of vitamins. Fruit and vegetables are given in the rough and the best if they are cut very small. For example, one may nourish puppy with grated carrot or apple and mix them with spoonful of sour cream or seed-oil. Greens such as dill, lettuce, celery should be cut small and added to basic food.
