It is worth mentioning that the environment, wherein a puppy lived before going to new owners, will influence its behavior, abilities and health anyway.
Place, where the puppies for sale are held, must be clean and without bad smell. This gives evidence of the keeper being responsible and conscientious person.
It is desirable to select a puppy from all the offspring available. It does not really matter whatever succession of delivery and the size of a puppy, i.e. the biggest pup is not necessarily to become the most healthy and talented. One had better pay attention to general appearance of the dog, corpora shape, head, extremities, tail, color, eyes, ears, etc.
Pup’s behavior is of importance: it must be alert. Too equal, hyposthenic or, on the other hand, too alive puppies are not suitable variants to be chosen.
Supposing you did not manage to find a proper puppy, then it is better to postpone the purchase for a while and wait for litter to come up in other females. As well it is a possibility to buy a puppy in neighboring city. At all events, one should not be in hurry when choosing a dog.
High cost is not necessarily a guarantee of dog’s health and good powers. The price may vary depending on pup age, its origin and level of training. As a matter of fact, the older puppy the higher its price. Besides, the older dog, the more time owners spend for its education and that in turn, enables increase of the price.
But, sometimes, an underbred or sick puppy happens to be sold for high price to rich people knowing the standards bad. On the contrary, experienced breeders, in case of big offspring number, may offer a comparatively low price for a good puppy. Therefore, when going to choose a four-footed animal you would rather apply to the specialist for piece of advice.
If in the nearest future the owner wants his dog to participate in the benches definitely, then he must carefully study the standard. Otherwise there will be a disappointment, that such a clever, bright, best-trained dog, owing to insignificant abnormality, won’t be able to take part in dog shows.
And then it is useful to know also how the shows are run, for what criterions the judge evaluates the dogs.
