In order to be successful at line-breeding you must have all the necessary traits and genetic tools within your germ-line, a reasonably low coefficient of inbreeding in your breeding stock, you must have an ideal firmly set in your mind, you must be prepared to ignore breeding fads and recognize that it is a long ranged plan that must be mapped out ahead of time up to 20 yrs in advance.
