During all the searching the dog must move quickly. At pit bull approaching the shelter where the assistant is, the guide should make a pause in the distance of 25 m from this place. None of commands must be given. The most number of points to be charged for this exercise is 5. Exercise 2. Designation and bark On discovering the assistant the dog should bark at him for long time: it is a necessary testing requirement. Barking at “enemy” begins at once as the dog finds out him in the shelter. However, the dog should be at 5 m from the assistant but it can not bite him or go at him. Baking lasts for 15 seconds, then the expert orders the guide to approach the assistant for 3m. Right here the guide stops and gives the dog the command: “Come here!” which one is to be executed quickly and neatly. This exercise is finished with execution of the command: “Down!” The most number of points to be charged to dog for performance of this exercise is 15. Exercise 3. Search and convoy In order to perform this exercise the assistant should go out from his shelter on request of the guide. The last searches the assistant whereas pit bull terrier should watch all this operation. The assessment for exercise # 2 is leveled down if the dog, while barking at the assistant, digresses and circuits the shelters. Then the guide walks away at 3 m approximately, stands behind the assistant and gives the dog the command: “Come here!” When the dog runs to the guide, he starts convoying “arrested one” for the space of 30 m ( the go is straight). When convoying, the guide goes behind the assistant, and the dog, freed from the leash, must be approximately at 3 m from that under escort and beside the guide. Barking is not allowed during convoy. The points can not be charged if the dog bites the assistant during searching or convoy or interferes with performance of these actions. The most number of points to be earned for this exercise is 5 Exercise 4. Arrest of the assistant When the convoy is over, the next step of testing involves the second assistant who should stop approximately at 25 m from the dog and once it pays attention to him, he runs off at more 15 m. After that on call of the expert the dog is laid on the runaway. The concern of the dog is to catch up running assistant and stay him by grasping his shoulder. On a signal of the expert, the assistant must come to a halt, but the dog should set loose the shoulder of the “arrested one”, but keep on watching him narrowly. 15 seconds after the assistant stops, the guide according instruction of the expert approaches him with measured steps and makes a stop at 3 m behind him, giving the dog the command: “Down!” If the dog does not set free the person kept back by it, the guide at the direction of the expert should take a position there, where from the assistant has run, and gives the command to the dog: “Yuck! (it’s allowed to pronounce it just once). Then, on receiving appropriate signal from the expert, the guide comes to the assistant, as it’s said above, and being in the distance of 3 m from him gives the dog the command: “Down!” The exercise is considered to be done only after dog’s execution of this exercise. The most number of points for that exercise is 35.
