In England, the breed “Staffordshire bull terrier” originated from these dogs, and the English bull terrier was bred as well by significantly large blood infusion of Terriers and Dalmatians into these dogs.
However, in 1835 in England dog fighting was banned, resulting in the event when all the fighting breeds were considered to be illegal. In the middle of the XIX century bullandterriers were in America, where there was no ban on fighting.
