This is a very well constructed tool used in bite development.
The bite bar is small enough and soft enough for young, green dogs but it is also made of material strong enough to handle the full bite from an older dog.
Our Bite Bar has the bite contour of a sleeve but designed as a targeting tug with two handles for maximum control for the handler.
The Jute Bite Bar is approx. 20 inches long and 10 inches wide.
There are two hidden foam covered handles inside each end of the bite bar for your Comfort and allows you to easily control The movement of your dog.
We also add third handle on the center of bite bar to allow you to pull the bite bar with ease.

Fashion Jute Bite Bar/Builder for Pitbull training
The Bite Builder is used for building grip in young dogs as well as honing skills for advanced Police and Schutzhund training. It simulates the lower section of a sleeve and gives dogs the sensation of crushing prey.
It is light and easy to carry as a reward.
The Bite Builder is manufactured from the same material as our sleeves and includes cuff.
This handle is located on the near side of the bar and is a stiffer, nylon handle. All of the stitching is reinforced.
This bite bar is imported from Germany. Most people prefer a jute bite bar to a synthetic bite bar because it will last longer and hold up better against their dogs teeth.

Merle requires dark pigment called eumelanin to express itself to the fullest. Some examples of eumelanin are the colors black, chocolate and seal. If merle acts on light pigment (which is called phaeomelanin) the merling will display itself very weakly, if it can be seen at all. The results of this weak expression are dogs who are genetically merle but APPEAR non-merle. These dogs are called "cryptic merles." They're also referred to as "ghost merles" or "phantom merles." Some examples of phaeomelanin are yellow, cream, buckskin and clear red. Due to merle's inability to act strongly (if at all) on phaeomelanin, it is been advised merle not be bred to yellow, cream or clear red to decrease and hopefully prevent the production of cryptic merles. Now merle is NOT body restrictive. If a dog is merle, it is merle all over it's entire body. But certain factors such as light pigment or lack of pigment (white) can effectively "hide" merle. So could merle have remained "hidden" in our breed only to come out at a later date when the pattern happened to interact with a eumelanistic dog? It could be possible. Most APBTs are linebred and as a result only a handlful of colors tend to predominate a line. For example, most Jeep dogs are buckskin. Most Redboy dogs are yellow or red. Most Vindicator dogs are red/rednosed. And so on. If merle were to find it's way into a line (like these) that was primarily phaeomelaninstic, it could be literally "hidden in plain sight" for generations! This is doubly so since most phaeomelanistic colors are recessive. In fact, as merle is being studied it is now becoming the opinion of geneticists that the determination of whether a dog is merle or not should be done by DNA test instead of by a visual inspection of the coat color because determining if a dog is merle or non-merle based simply of examination of coat can be so unreliable!.
