Ultra Leather Dog Harness for Pitbull -Tracking Harness This Ultra Leather Dog Harness(PADDED HARNESS) has saddle-worthy stitching for maximum quality and strength.
It is fitted with high grade brass buckles at 5 key adjustment points allowing for a custom fit to your dog. The heavy duty, thick felt lined chest plate prevents chafing and disperses pressure across the dog's chest rather than across the throat which can deter strong barking. The felt is horse saddle grade - not the craft kind of wool or felt that breaks down after only a few sessions. The Ultra Leather Dog Harness has an improved built-in loop handle on the top so the handler may be more involved in training if necessary.

We use only hand-made nickel plated D-ring tracking line connections that will never, never rust!
The Ultra Leather harness does not restrict the air flow of the dog in any way. This is an extremely important feature on a tracking harness during long tracks where the dogs need all the help they can get.
The Ultra Leather harness for Pitbull has a padded breast plate to cushion the dog when it hits the end of the line while doing protection work.

He immigrated to America in 1900 and took along pure-bred pit bulls from which have descended present excellent representatives of the breed. He was an admirer of this breed, came into conflict with his countrymen (Irishmen) because he was sure that “Old Family”, should be distributed as broader as possible while the other Irish breeders guarded jealously their line and gave the dogs to true friends who took care of “blood line” and kept the pedigree with their own hand. Colby issued ads on sale and mating of pit bulls and exerted a great influence on lovers of that breed. Due that fact many breeders of “Old Family” called him a “hawker’ (the most abusive title for the breeder). Despite that, Colby realized his goal as many breeders approved his line that produced many immortal giants of the ring later. The dogs exported from other countries (Spain, Sicilia Holland) had different hair color, but black, white, red and mixture of these colors were prevailing. There is no perfect information how many pit bulls were exported from these countries and what their development was like up to 1900, but starting with this period it is possible to find documentary proof of their development and representation. Alongside with “Old Family” Colby kept the other lines and outbred them. So, the best pit bull recognized was Colby’s Pincher weighting 32 kg, of black color. The next dog following Pincher was Cater Armitage’s (Cager?) whose weight was 49 pounds. Its color was like tigrine, it achieved 14 victories and belonged to several owners (Armitage, Hemphill, Corvino). Then was a turn of elite dog Hubbard Big. The next after it was Tudor’s Black Jack weighting 49 pounds.
